“Therefore, I exhort…that … prayers… and giving of thanks be made … for all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet life in all godliness. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all men to be saved, and to come to the knowledge of the truth.”
Founding Father John Jay, no doubt understanding that God’s law
leads to salvation, said…
“[T]he … natural law was given by the Sovereign of the Universe
to all mankind.”
The ultimate reason that God gave us His laws is so that we might believe on His Son Jesus Christ, the Way, the Truth and the Life.
