“…Providence has given to our people the choice of their rulers, and it is the duty, as well as the privilege and interest, of a Christian nation to select and prefer Christians for their rulers.”
These words are from Founding Father John Jay, co-author of the federalist papers, Member of Continental Congress, first Chief Justice of the US Supreme Court, Governor of NY, and so on.

Wow! According to Jay, America is a Christian nation that should elect Christian leaders! Now imagine President Bush or Chief Justice Roberts saying something like that today – how would congress react? – what would the media say?
