Be Subject to Authority
Here is today’s Truth for Patriots, with founder Tom Evans…
God commands us to obey Him and, to the best extent possible, to obey the authorities. In Romans 13 we read…
“Let every soul be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and the authorities that exist are appointed by God… For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to evil… For he is God’s minister to you for good… an avenger to execute wrath on him who practices evil.”
But what are we to do when authorities disobey God, allow & even encourage evil, and punish good? The answer is given in Acts: “they set them before the council… saying, ‘Did we not strictly command you not to teach in this name [Jesus]?’… But Peter and the other apostles answered and said: ‘We ought to obey God rather than men.’”
