God Ordains Governments & Calls Us to Serve
Here is today’s Truth for Patriots, with founder Tom Evans…
Did you know that God ordains governments? That no authority exists without God? Consider this passage from Daniel: “…and seven times shall pass over you, till you know that the Most High rules in the Kingdom of men, and gives it to whomever He chooses.”
And this from 2 Chronicles: “… Blessed be the Lord … He made you king over them, to do justice and righteousness.”
God calls people into government. Consider Joseph, Gideon, Samuel, David, Mordecai, Daniel, Moses… too many to list! Serving in government is just as much a calling and ministry as any other service to God! Our Founding Fathers are the epitome of such service. As Patrick Henry once said, “…this great nation was founded… by Christians … on the gospel of Jesus Christ.”
